Pictured below are DES art students with their artworks submitted to the Arkansas Art Educators Southwest Regional Annual K-12 Youth Art Show. The show exhibits artwork from the southwest Arkansas region. If students place 1st in their grade division at the regional level , their artwork is then displayed at the State Show located at the Hilary Rodman Clinton Children’s Library in Little Rock , Arkansas . Congratulations to these students for all their talent and hard work!

De Queen Elementary's 3rd Grade Battle of the Books teams won a total of 9 rounds in the competition that was held Friday at De Queen Mena Cooperative. They came away with a first place trophy! It's a great day to be a Leopard! #readersareleaders
