In a momentous achievement for DeQueen High School, one of its exceptional Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America members, Laney Gitchell, has been elected as a regional officer in the recent elections held at the recent FCCLA Conference.

Laney emerged victorious in a competitive selection process, showcasing not only their dedication but also their leadership qualities within the FCCLA community. As a regional officer, she will take on a pivotal role in representing DeQueen High School's chapter while also serving as a liaison between the local chapter and the broader FCCLA organization.

The FCCLA advisor at DeQueen High School expressed immense pride and excitement for Laney's accomplishment, highlighting their commitment to the FCCLA's values of leadership and service. "Having Laney as a regional officer, for next year is so exciting! As her advisor, it has been amazing to see her break out of her shell, and take on leadership positions. She is going to do amazing things and I can’t wait to see what she does next year.” The advisor remarked.
