De Queen High School

The DeQueen High School FCCLA organization attended the state meeting in Hot Springs last week. There they received Gold Star Chapter recognition as an expression of appreciation for their outstanding work in Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America. They also were awarded for completing 4 out of 4 categories in the 2023-2024 Arkansas State project. For the completion of the state projects, they were rewarded with a Shoot for the Stars certificate. While at the competition Laney Gitchell received a $1000.00 scholarship to Harding University. Laney plans to attend Harding to further her education in the field of Family and Consumer Sciences.
