Three talented DES art students have had their works selected to showcase their grade levels at the 2025 Arkansas Art Educators Southwest Regional Youth Art Show. DeQueen Elementary is incredibly proud of their accomplishment! Well done, girls!

Birds of a Feather continued...Mrs. Miles' fourth graders dove into an exciting hands-on science lab called “Birds of a Feather,” where they explored how birds’ feathers help them thrive in ocean habitats. The students rolled up their sleeves to analyze lab data and craft their own C.E.R. Charts—a cool science tool to test their grasp of the material. They kicked things off with some questions and claims before the lab, then added evidence to back up their claims and figure out if they were spot on or way off. These kids are absolutely nailing it!

Continued--The CCCUA Colts took a break from their usual routine and mingled with students during recess, chatting about the exciting opportunities at Cossatot Community College University of Arkansas. They handed out delicious fruit and kicked around a soccer ball, all in a bid to inspire the kids to join a spring/summer soccer team. What a fun way to blend education and play!
