Kate Lindsey plans to earn her associate degree at UA Cossatot before transferring to the University of Arkansas–Fort Smith to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education and become a kindergarten teacher. Encouraged by her parents to always give her best effort, Kate believes effort is one of the most important qualities for success. She describes her high school journey as “full, exciting, and friendships.


Katherine plans to attend Southern Arkansas University and pursue a career in the field of plant science. She says taking time to rest with the Lord is what helps her stay motivated and successful. Katherine describes her high school journey as “funny, worthwhile, and chaotic.” #LeopardPride

Emme plans to attend the University of Arkansas and pursue a career as an optometrist. Inspired by her parents and driven by hard work, Emme believes perseverance is key to success in both school and life. She describes her high school experience as “challenging, memorable, and rewarding.” #LeopardPride

Students conducted water quality testing by analyzing pH levels and assessing biological indicators within the stream ecosystem. By identifying and cataloging macroinvertebrate species present in the water, students were able to evaluate biodiversity and determine evidence of a healthy aquatic environment and strong water quality.












Tegan plans to pursue a career in education after attending Cossatot Community College and transferring to UAFS. Motivated by her mom and her dream of becoming an elementary teacher, Tegan says determination is one of the most important traits for success. She describes her high school journey as “fun, social, and busy.” #LeopardPride

Please take a moment to review all upcoming senior events leading up to graduation day for the Class of 2026. From the Cap & Gown Parade to graduation practice and Senior Picnic, there are several important dates students need to attend.
Graduation practice is mandatory.

The De Queen School District Board of Directors announces a vacancy for the Zone 4 Representative position effective July 1, 2026.
All application paperwork must be submitted by Wednesday, May 27, 2026, by the end of the business day.
The Board will meet on June 8, 2026, in the Administration Building Board Room to appoint an individual to fill this vacancy.
Qualifications to be considered for appointment:
An individual who wishes to be considered shall:
• Be a qualified elector who resides in the District or District zone, if applicable
• Submit a petition to the District that:
– States the individual’s intention to be considered for the appointment
– Is signed by at least twenty (20) qualified electors who reside within the District or the District zone where the vacancy exists
– Is submitted at least ten (10) days before the meeting date to fill the vacancy
